How To Repurpose Your FAQ Posts

FAQ posts are my favorite way to get a practice ranking in ChatGPT and AI search.

Two reasons.

First, these tools work by matching a patient's question to the website that answers it most thoroughly. Second, and this is the part people skip past, "frequently asked questions" are frequently asked. The name does the work for you. If it's a question you field in the exam room every week, you already know your ideal patient is out there typing some version of it into ChatGPT tonight.

So the demand already exists. Your job is to be the answer when they go looking.

A while back I broke down the anatomy of an optimized FAQ post: the length, the trust signals, the structure AI actually rewards. If you missed it, here's the quick walkthrough:

Today I want to go one level up. Most practitioners write a solid FAQ post, publish it, and stop there. That leaves most of the value sitting on the table.

But first, one thing worth understanding about why volume matters.

"Freshness" Is A Ranking Signal

When AI tools and Google decide who to cite, one of the quieter factors is how alive your website looks. A site whose last article went up in 2018 reads as abandoned. A site adding fresh FAQs every few days reads as an active, current practice. Given a 2018 answer and a 2026 answer of equal quality, AI reaches for the newer one almost every time.

So a steady cadence of 1-2 FAQ posts a week does double duty: It builds your library of answers, and it signals that you're the current, maintained source worth citing.

If that sounds like a lot of content to produce and promote – it isn't, once you realize a single FAQ post can feed almost everything else you publish.

One FAQ Post = A Week Of Content

Start with the FAQ post on your website. That's the anchor. Everything else points back to it.

Then tease it on social. Write a short post for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and your Google Business Profile that raises the question and sends people to the full answer on your site.

On Facebook and Instagram, the approach that works best is what's called a "two-step" post (Example: "Comment "KEYWORD" below and I'll send you....") - and you can easily use the Big Boost App to automate this. I walk through exactly how to set one up here:

Next, feature it in your newsletter. Stuck on what to send your list this week? Your most recent FAQ posts are the answer. You wrote them because patients keep asking, which makes them exactly what your list wants to read.

And for the advanced move, put it on camera. Shoot a 2–3 minute reel answering the same FAQ out loud, then post it to YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Facebook and Instagram reels. Same question, same answer, now in the format each platform favors. On-camera video also builds a kind of trust text can't touch, because patients get to see the person they'd actually be booking with.

So there it is: One FAQ post on your website becomes a batch of social posts across 4 platforms, a newsletter feature, and a run of short-form video. One piece of thinking becomes a full week of visibility, and all of it points back to your site and feeds your AI search ranking.

Live Ask Me Anything: FAQ Posts

Next Tuesday (July 7, 12–1pm EST), I'm hosting a free Ask Me Anything session on FAQ posts: how to create them, how to optimize them for AI search, and how to repurpose them across social, email, and video.

It's normally just for current clients, but I'm opening a handful of slots for practitioners who want to get this system running. If that's you, grab your slot here.

P.S. Bring your actual questions to the AMA. The whole point of an AMA is that you get to ask about your practice, your topic, your situation, instead of sitting through a generic pitch. Come with the FAQ you've been meaning to write and we'll workshop it live.
