014: The Power Of Pre-Decision With Teresa McCloy

Have you ever considered how much time and cognitive reserves you could save... if you "pre-decided" on a select number of important decisions in your life?

Apparently, this quest for efficiency was behind the late Steve Jobs penchant for black turtleneck sweaters, and why you see Mark Zuckerberg only in hoodies.

But when Teresa McCloy reintroduced me to this provocative concept earlier this year, we decided to unpack this in more detail during my latest podcast episode on "The Power of Pre-Decision".

When we look at our calendars ahead of time and pre-determine what we say yes to, we can free our brains from burning out on last-minute decisions. By scheduling the things that matter most to us, we ensure that we will do them, and allow for more moments of freedom and creative energy.

Ultimately, instead of focusing on what we think we should do, we will do what we want to do, and be happier as a result.
